Grandma Sue's Christmas Home Evening

Last Thursday was Grandma Sue's annual Christmas home evening but it was my first year experiencing this wonderful night. First we all ate dinner, Grandma Sue makes a mean chicken casserole :) Yummy! Then she told us a beautiful Christmas story. Each couple got a copy of the story along with a glass angel ornament as a reminder of the story. All the grand kids then took turns singing us songs that they had practiced. It was so precious! I forgot my camera...again...but I stole some pictures from Chad's mom Tina's blog :)

Rocky danced to music for us :) such a cute kid!

Temple lights!

Me and Chad got invited to go look at the temple lights with Cody, Krystal and Zayden on Saturday. It was so fun watching Zayden stare in amazement at how bright and colorful everything was! We always love spending time with them and catching up on everything new with baby Zay :) After the lights we stopped at DQ for some ice cream...it's in such a convenient location :) haha

My husband...

My husband is the best! He knows that I have been wanting a Carmel Apple for a while because I have been talking about picking one up after work. I never did pick one up though because I just told myself I will just wait till Christmas or something. Well the other day I came home from work and he tells me I have a present under the tree...it was the Carmel Apple I have been wanting! I felt SO bad that he got it for me though because he has wanted a pizza cookie since his birthday in July and I still haven't gotten it for him. I was going to surprise him with one for Christmas but he beat me to it. He is the best husband ever! I love you babe! :)

Saturday mornings

Me and Chad look forward to Saturday mornings! On Saturday mornings we head across the street to the GYSA fields to watch our nephews and niece play soccer. Today was their last game of the fall season so we decided we would take pictures. When we got there I realized my memory card was still in the computer so we had to take pictures from Chad's phone instead. This morning was probably the coldest day of the year! It was 47 degrees and the wind was blowing to make it even worse. Chad's dad "Papa Rocky" was a hero and bought us all hot chocolate :) Yummy! The boys did great despite the cold weather and they both won their games...good job boys! Kylie's game was at the same time as Dakota's so we missed it :/ but I bet she did great too! She is so cute out there.

Gunnar is really aggressive and loves stealing goals :)

The kids love running through the tunnel!

I think the treat at the end of the game is their favorite part about soccer haha

Dakota is a great soccer player and his team is undefeated!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving day me and Chad had big plans in the morning...I was going to go hiking and Chad was going to play football. I guess our bodies knew we needing to rest up for Black Friday shopping because we slept in til 10:00. We spent the afternoon with his family eating and playing with the kids. Everything was so yummy and the company was even better! Then we headed over to my parents house where we spent the evening eating and playing Settlers. Me and Chad got our butts kicked and didn't win one game but we still had fun. At 9:00 we all headed over to Walmart to try and catch the Black Friday deals on video games. When we got there everything was already torn through and gone. Chad managed to grab some Playstation games for him and some of his cousins. We got in line and checked out before 10...that Walmart was cheating. We didn't get the Xbox Kinect games we wanted so we decided to try one more Walmart. The Walmart closest to our house was way more packed then the other one but they hadn't let anything get touched till 10. I managed to work my way up the game line and get the two games we wanted...surprisingly there were a bunch of them left. We made it home at 10:45...that's the fastest I have ever gotten done with Black Friday shopping. Friday morning we met up with Chad's brother Colton to help him pick a TV at Costco and then we did a little more shopping ourselves. I am so thankful to have two wonderful families to spend the holidays with. I couldn't have asked for better families then these! :) We love you guys!!

Thanksgiving was at Gram and Pop's House

The kids had their own little table :)

Chaney wasn't at the table yet...sorry Chan!

Big D's Birthday!

Me and Chad went through the birthdays in our family's one night and laughed at how many birthdays were the same or close. Our nephew Dakota and my brother-in-law Phil both had birthdays yesterday on the 20th. We also have two birthdays on the 23rd & two on the 24th of December. We are going to have some crazy busy holidays every year...twice the fun! Dakota had his birthday party on Saturday so his friends could come. I had to babysit on Saturday so we were a little late but I still managed to get some pictures :) It was so fun to see him with all of his friends and to get to hang out with the family.

Birthday Boy got the first swing!

Then the kids took turns swinging from shortest to tallest.

While the kids were fighting for candy...we put the babies in the bounce house :)

D looks SO excited to make a wish and blow out the candles!

After Sunday dinner Dakota put on a magic show for us with his new kit from mom and dad :)
I didn't have my camera out during the show so this is all I caught...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAKOTA!!!
