What we have been up to...

I have been SO bad at updating my blog since I have been pregnant but that's all about to change now that I'm done working. My last blog post was from before Halloween so that is where I will start. On Halloween Chad and I headed over to Dixie's house for some yummy food and to see our nieces and nephews all dressed up. They all looked so good :) It made me excited for next year when I have my own little one to dress up. We didn't stay for too long because we wanted to get back home in time to pass out candy. We got home at 7:26, flipped on all of our lights and waited for the kids to start coming. Not one kid came to our house this year :/ so me and Chad were left with a ton of candy. Then to November...November seemed to go by so fast and I don't know why. Chad participated in "No Shave November" but actually didn't shave till like December 7th...he was pretty proud of his beard. My sister Laura had her baby boy Knox Oakley Blue on November 16th, grandbaby number 7 on my side of the family. We painted baby McKinley's room :) now I just need to finish a few projects I have to decorate the room. Thanksgiving with both sides of the family was fun and delicious as ever! The stomach few went around on my side of the family so me and Chad experienced that :/ no fun. Now for December...my favorite month of the year, I just love the holiday spirit and everything that comes with the Christmas season. My baby shower was on December 1st :) and my friends did such an awesome job! The decorations were so cute, the games were fun, and the food was so yummy (a thanks to my mom and sister in law as well for bringing some yummy treats). Chad was joking around a couple of days before the shower saying that it wasn't fair that the mom gets to have a party and open all the presents and the dad doesn't. He was just kidding but I decided it would be fun to rewrap all of the presents so he could open them all. So after the shower me and my sister in law quickly wrap up the presents for him. I think we had more fun watching him open them then he did haha. My sister in law Chanteal had her baby boy Bruce "Bo" Brooks on December 6th, also granbaby number 7 for Chad's side of the family. Our baby will make grandbaby number 8 for both of our parents. One of my best friends Brianna turned 21 on December 9th (which was a Sunday) so on the 7th all of us girls went out for a girls night. We started the night by going to get our toes done, then headed to dinner at Red, White & Brew and we ended the night with some shopping at a few of her favorite stores. It was a lot of fun but I always feel bad going out and leaving Chad at home so it was nice to come home and see him. We have watched Zayden a few times this month and I will probably be watching him full time starting in January. Chad and I have been watching our favorite Christmas movies and we even got hot chocolate and went around looking at lights last week. We have also decorated gingerbread houses and made candy with his family...lots of fun. Chad's brother Rocky and his family came down from Oregon and will be staying here till after Christmas. It was so nice to finally get to see them :) it's been too long! There are a lot of birthdays in November and December between our two families so that has also been keeping us busy. I have been really bad at taking pictures, I haven't taken my camera to any of the family events lately. I will try and get better at that with Christmas coming up but here are a few pictures from my phone.

Busy...

It has been a while since I have updated my blog and I apologize. Chad and I have been pretty busy lately. I don't have many pictures to post...sorry. I have had a couple of photo shoots lately though. An engagement shoot, senior pictures, family pictures, and a reception all in the last couple weeks. It has been fun getting out and taking pictures :) and editing too. We also went to a diamond backs game a couple weeks ago with Chad's parents and two of our nephews...my first major league baseball game ever! It was a lot of fun. Us and some friends went to the Safetysuit & Go Radio concert too :) that was fun. The baby was moving a lot during that...not sure if she liked it or hated it haha. I have been working on a few crafts for the baby's room...when they are done I will post them. My aunt Julie threw a Halloween bunco party for all of us girls in the family. It was my first time playing and I loved it! Chad had his cousin JD come over and play call of duty with him while I was at that and they ended up playing till 5:30 in the morning. Chad didn't wake up till 12:30 that day haha. Well life is going good and I'm excited for the holidays. Me and Chad are really excited to meet our baby girl :) can't wait for her to be here. Here are a couple of pictures from my phone.

It's a Girl!

It's official...me and Chad are having a baby girl in February 2013! We went to our 19 week appointment on Tuesday, September 11th. I know that was a couple of weeks ago and it has taken me a while to post it but I have been so busy planning for this little girls room. We are so excited to become parents and I think that it's just starting to really sink in. We have been trying so think of a name for this little girl but we haven't decided on anything official yet. At the ultrasound appointment we got to see her in 3D :) that was pretty cool. We weren't expecting that but I guess the ultrasound tech really likes us or something haha. It's kind of freaky looking and amazing at the same time. I can't wait to see what this girl really looks like...so excited! Here are some of the pictures from the ultrasound.

Beach Reunion

Every Labor Day my side of the family gets together for a nice long vacation. We use to go camping but four or five years ago we started going to California instead. Last year we didn't go because we were busy planning and getting ready for mine and Chad's wedding :) Much better then a vacation if I do say so myself! Well this year it was much needed and way overdue. This trip is one of only two times a year we get to see my sister Laura and her family so it's nice to get to catch up. This trip was also the first big vacation me and Chad have taken since we have been married...so a honeymoon and one year anniversary all in one. Sarah and Adam and Jake and Tanya couldn't make it but my parents brought Jake's oldest, Kaiti. We stayed in a nice four bedroom beach house this year, way better then the little two bedroom we got a couple years back. It was so nice to be right on the beach with all the babies that needed naps during the afternoon. We had a lot of fun playing on the beach, working on our tans, building castles, and riding the waves. When we needed a break from the sun we walked around the shops, took the kids to an aquarium, or just played games inside. Here are some pictures I took of all our fun in the sun!
